| Updated Trail Conditions |
All trails currently closed to bikes and horses. Due to recent downpours, snow and warm temperatures, all trails have been closed for now. The ground is soft and saturated. Thank you to all of the volunteers who unselfishly worked together for hundreds of hours to keep your trails in tip-top condition! Many improvements were made and more are planned for 2010. Spring is on the way. Happy Trails to you! Even limited use of closed trails causes further damage to your trails. Please pass the word. Also, please note that the only authorized access to the trails is through the main gate at Bradbury Mountain State Park. Parking along Route #9 or in the church parking lot to avoid paying the entrance fee is legally considered a theft of services. The park closes at sunset, daily. NOTE: The Department of Conservation (Bradbury Mountain) is working to provide planning and direction for our entire trail system. This includes development of a trail from the park boundary, across Tryon Mountain, across the CMP corridor to Pineland. There has been an advisory committee formed, by invitation, from the various user groups interested in our trails. The mountain bike community does have a voice on this committee. We expect to begin work on the Bradbury to Tryon section of trail this season. Thank you for your patience during this time, and please contact the park if you have any questions. |
